Donor
Advised Funds
The NNTC has established with the AKC Canine Health
Foundation two Donor Advised Funds (DAF): the NNTC
DAF - Norwich Terrier and the NNTC DAF - Norfolk
Terrier. Donor Advised Funds are used exclusively
for research projects the parent club designates
and the NNTC DAFs will specifically benefit the Norwich
and Norfolk terrier breeds. It is the mission of
the AKC Canine Helath Foundation to develop significant
resources for basic and applied health programs,
with empahsis on canine genetics, to improve the
quality of life for dogs and their owners.
The NNTC Donor Advised Funds will earn interest until
a research project has been reviewed and is deemed
worthy of investing the funds. The NNTC may submit
any research projects it is interested in funding and
the Foundation will pursue researchers interested in
the project. The Foundation will match the amount already
designated for the project by the NNTC. The Foundation
also provides review for project proposals by a board
of experts in the field. Accounting of the funds as
well as any research pending which could be of interest
to the NNTC is sent to the club twice a year. Any individual or group who wishes to donate funds
specifically for the use of Norwich and Norfolk research
may do so by designating either "NNTC DAF - Norwich
Terrier" or "NNTC DAF - Norfolk Terrier" on
the contribution to the Canine Health Foundation. Gifts
to the AKC Canine Health Foundation designated to either
NNTC DAF are tax deductible.
